David Towne is an award-winning performer and filmmaker from Indianapolis, Indiana. He began making short films in high school, where he anchored the daily news program and captained both the Speech and Varsity Tennis teams. He and Speech partner William Torres qualified for the Indiana State Semifinals with a parody of Dancing with the Stars (which neither have seen to this day).

David majored in Theatre, minored in Political Science, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago. He was an active member of the Sigma Chi International Fraternity and spent terms abroad in Rome and at the London Dramatic Academy.

Before moving to L.A. to attend the Art of Acting Studio, David appeared on Chicago Fire, starred in several MFA thesis films and web-series, acted throughout Chicago’s storefront theatre community, and completed improv levels 1-5 at iO.

Los Angeles reignited David’s passion for creating original work. After booking several more graduate films, commercials, Amazon’s Hunters, the holiday comedy Lost and Found in Cleveland, and Ethan Hawke’s Wildcat, David continues to write, study acting, and train in stunts—including stunt driving at the Motion Picture Driving Clinic.

David is a member of SAG-AFTRA, managed by Jerry Silverhardt, and repped by NTA Talent in Los Angeles, BMG Talent Chicago, and Heyman Talent in the Midwest.
